Our Story

Silver Fern Electrical began in 2014 with a simple goal: give Wellington homeowners access to reliable, high-standard electrical work with no guesswork. Founder Dean Skipsey partnered with inspector Richard Cowley to grow the team's capacity and expertise, and a decade later the business has grown around that same foundation — doing the job properly, leaving every site clean and tidy, and earning referrals through quality rather than marketing.

Dean and Richard now lead a professional crew, staying hands-on across every project to ensure the standard doesn't slip. Whether it's a ducted heat pump for a new build or a solar system for a family home in Khandallah, the approach is the same: understand what the customer needs, size it correctly, and install it to last.
